The Hammond 1590B is the classic compact pedal enclosure, the size most people picture when they think of an MXR-style pedal. It takes a standard single-effect build: three knobs across the top, a footswitch, an LED and side-mounted jacks.

Its one real constraint is depth. At 27 mm deep there is not much height over the board, so tall electrolytic capacitors and top-mounted jacks can get tight. The 1590BS is all but the same footprint with 11 mm more depth, and the 125B is the slightly bigger all-rounder.

Building a Fuzz Dog board? A ready-made jig pack covers this enclosure: nothing to tape down, nothing to slip, and it wraps the sides so the jacks line up.
