Terms of Service

Rules and guidelines for using Stompbox Layout.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Stompbox Layout ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Stompbox Layout is a web-based tool for designing enclosure drill layouts for guitar pedals and other electronics projects. The Service allows you to create, save, export, and share layout projects.

3. Accounts

  • You may sign up using an email address and password, or via Google OAuth.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

4. Your content

  • You retain ownership of the projects and layouts you create using the Service.
  • By making a project public, you grant other users permission to view and clone that project as a template.
  • You must not upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service without permission.

6. Availability and changes

  • The Service is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.
  • We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

7. Payments

Stompbox Layout is free to use. A few things are sold separately as optional one-time purchases: individual features, which unlock on the account that paid for them, and ready made drill jig packs, which are delivered as a download. There is no subscription, so there is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel.

Features are bought one at a time. A purchase unlocks the feature you bought and nothing else. Paid features we release later are separate purchases, and buying one does not include any of the others. We will always name the feature you are buying before you pay.

Who you are buying from. Payments are handled by one of two processors, depending on what you are buying. Features inside the app go through Paddle, and the drill jig packs sold from our site go through Gumroad. Both act as the merchant of record: whichever one handles your purchase is the seller of record for it and handles billing, tax and your receipt, so their name is what appears on your statement. Your agreement for the service itself stays with us, under these terms.

Refunds. If you change your mind, email stompboxlayout@gmail.com within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full, no questions asked. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion.

EU / UK consumers: withdrawal right. By completing your purchase you expressly request that we begin providing the digital content immediately and acknowledge that you lose the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal once provision has begun. The 14-day refund offer above is offered voluntarily on top of your statutory rights.

Price changes. Prices may change over time. Changes apply only to purchases made after the change takes effect.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. If we terminate your account for any reason other than a violation of these terms, we will refund any feature purchases on that account in full, with no time limit.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stompbox Layout and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. The Service is a layout design tool. You are responsible for verifying measurements and drill positions before use.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and use your data.
