The Gorva S90 is the landscape format, 90 mm across the short axis of the rim. Its footprint is close to a 1590BB with rather more depth.

Like every Gorva casting it has no corner screw bosses, so the usable area is the cavity itself.

How thick are the walls?

The S90's walls are 2 mm thick. Like every diecast enclosure it also carries a casting draft: each wall leans out by 1.1 mm from the drilled face to the open rim, so the enclosure measures 117.2 × 90 mm at the rim and 115 × 87.8 mm across the face you drill. Worth knowing when a part seats against the inside of a wall, and why a caliper reading depends on where you take it.

What fits inside?

The internal cavity measures 111 × 83.8 mm at the face, and there are no corner screw bosses to work around, so the whole of it is usable flat area for a circuit board: 111 × 83.8 mm. S90 vs 1590BB

The 1590BB is 1.9 mm wider, 3.6 mm taller and 9 mm shallower than the S90. Much the same footprint as the standard wide Hammond, with 9 mm more depth and no corner bosses taking a bite out of each end.

S90 vs C65

The C65 is 53.2 mm narrower and 28.7 mm taller than the S90. The landscape half of the Gorva pair: reach for the S90 when a second footswitch or a long row of knobs will not fit the C65.
