About this drill template
Drill template for the Fuzz Dog Boner Boost, sized for a Hammond 1590B enclosure (59.3 × 111.2 × 27 mm). The pre-positioned holes match the PCB's pot footprint exactly, with the footswitch centred below the 1-knob layout. Print at 1:1 scale, tape to the enclosure face, centre-punch, and drill. PCB and parts not included.
Fuzz Dog description: “Probably the most popular one-knob boost available. Famously crackles when adjusted, but hey - that's ok!”
The Super Hard On, probably the best known one-knob boost there is. It famously crackles as you turn the control, and Fuzz Dog build the second version of the circuit, which is not susceptible to static.
Build notes
The Hammond 1590B is the standard small DIY pedal enclosure: compact enough for a crowded board, large enough for most single-effect PCBs and a 9V battery.
Vendor specs: PCB 25 x 22mm, build difficulty easy.
Drill measurements
Hole centres for the 1590B 1-Knob (Type 1) layout. X runs left to right from the centre of the face being drilled. On the enclosure face, Y is measured from the centre, positive towards the top. For holes on a side, Y is the distance down the wall, measured from the face edge. Export the PDF for a 1:1 printable version with a scale check.
