Most overdrives owe their voicing to the same handful of mid-bumped tone stacks — the Tube Screamer shape being the most copied — and tweaks to clipping diodes, cap values, and the gain pot taper give each design its identity. The drill template gives you the hole positions; the rest is in the values on the board.
